2023: Just shy of a decade since I post here.

Boy, it has been a long time since I remembered I have this blog. Looking back, I was pretty cringe, but I'm free, so that's that. I honestly am not too conscious of what happened this ten years except going to workforce and earn money to fund my fandoms. Which.. I think I'll cover in my upcoming random post no X. In that sense, the only thing that changed is my disposable income? Oh, yeah. I also went to more places, but mostly Japan because our family is kinda obsessed with Japan like that. It's really fun!

The Journey to Restore My Childhood pt. 2

So, after two years of self-proclaimed hiatus or simply not-blogging, I kinda missed it... that feeling of typing random things and feeling satisfied with yourself even though maybe no one will read it...?

Maybe you've known from my previous post that I, two years ago, tried to revive my childhood by downloading illegal childhood game- the two being Harry Potter- Prisoners of Azkaban and Bugs Bunny- Time Busters.

Two years ago, the files I downloaded can't be opened-- but somehow I re-downloaded them half a year ago and they worked perfectly fine!

And I just asdfhskfhg.
much childhood.
such game.
I found many unlockables, collections, and things I missed when I played the games as a child.
I felt nostalgic when seeing their choppy 3D polygonal graphics.
and I just--- feel very, very satisfied when I finished them!

At the time when I replayed it, I kinda forgot that I was already a high school student, teehee. It feels weird yet awesome at the same time.

(and I still remember the agony of losing the game CDs, betch.)

Journey to Restore My Childhood

Everybody has a childhood. Mine is full of PC games and such, making me kind of a fusion between computer freak, imaginator, a strategist, a soon-to-be assasin.... and moody *if i died in the game*.

So, when i was a kid, there is this kiddo that borrowed lots and lots of my PC games. ah, i should say that most of them are my favourites. but cause she's my good friend, i let her.

but she lost nearly half of them

uhm, take this as an example. You're just buying an awesome dress that doesn't make you look chubby, or too bulky, or too short. Just plain perfect. You just love that dress, but then your mum borrowed it. It returned to you with a tear across the zipper as a bonus. She didn't apolgize, hence claiming herself as an ultimate douchebag.

so, recently i just get an idea, why i dont just download it? :')
i downloaded it with a program called torrent (takes 8 hours for a 600 megabytes game)
i am freaking happy to see Harry Potter- prisoner of azkaban lying on the downloads folder *that game is really awesome for me btw*

....it failed to be opened, saying 'please insert disc 1'. Now that's one of the most depressing times in your life, when your childhood is just lying there right in front of your eyes but you cant reach them oh look at my beautiful choice of words

then i looked at the uploader's comments, saying 'you should make this folders to become CD image! try downloading (name of an application)' i downloaded it and understand nothing about the menus ands such. and i was like, dafuq. If you're an IT students, or just a plain computer admirer, that understand this terms of 'Mounting the CD image' in MagicCD or MagicISO, you. Help me please. D':



Then, today i downloaded another childhood game (still dont give up)
took 8 hours too...
I also am freaking happy to see that bugs bunny- time busters, *that is also an amazing game!* and this time it already been made into the 'CD images' (well i also don't get it) so i can easily open it and installed it. I can run that game!!! *insert confettis and pinata here*



...but 3 seconds later, it stopped working.
I looked at the uploader's comment, saying that i should copy paste this folders bla bla, and i did it, but it's still not working. Oh. Mother.

And then i saw the year of that game made.... 2000. That makes me think, do the games can't worked because my computer used windows 7? Well, in 2000 the world still have pentium 3 i think.

<edit> So, I installed the Bugs Bunny one on my lappy. It worked, IT WORKEDDD *throws a 3 day-3 night celebration*

But, my agony isn't over. 'Cause my lappy (my mum's actually) is really really old, if I play the games, the graphic is really slow. (patah") Maybe the lappy's processor is from the stone age. But it's okay! At least I have half of my childhood back. I. Love. You. </edit>

Me and my classsmates were having a rather unique assignment. We have to make a folklore-based comic~
And our group chose a fable titled "The Mischievous Mouse Deer" or something like that well, i used 'mischievous' because 'naughty' suddenly gives the wrong impression (Si Kancil Jahil in Bahasa)

my first drawn comic, now that's historic.

I really, really feel grateful for the one who selected the folklore for our group. Drawing animals aren't that hard, unlike people or stuffs.

It's hand drawn with my friend. I drew 5 pages, and she drew 4. Her version of mouse deer is really cute yet graceful!

The mouse deer sneaked to Mr. Dul's garden...

 While mine's like a pig. Really, lol.

'Cause trapping a mouse is too mainstream.

Like anime? Like Korean dramas? Well then, I'd really recommend this:

What is it? Winter Sonata Anime Version.
It's so epic I can't even---
The story. The romance. the way joonsang hold yujin's hand *squeal* the cuteness of high school love life *another squeal* and also the animation itself! I can barely find an anime that contains a character's blinking animation or hair flipping normally. Not to mention that Joonsang is cute LOL looking at him makes me feel pathetic at drawing manly boys.

Every boys I draw always looks girly *headdesk*

Tonight is the last seconds of 2011~ So, how's your happy new year partayys? I was grounded here, at my parents' bedroom, but even though I can go outside, I prefer to stay infront of my beloved computer
And the reason is because I am 'busy' watching Detective Conan the Movie. Parents call it waste of time, I call it educational entertainment. And now, I'm spazzing over Shinichi's awesome skills LOL

Do you ever watch that the english dubbed version of this series? Finally, Conan's voice is childlike.

Another thing I like from those movies? Loads of romatic scenes between Shinichi a.k.a Conan and Ran! And all of them are so sweet duhrrr I'd like to see all of them in the manga

--oh well. My holidays are always surrounded with otaku related things

k-dramas that i currently watch

I spent my holidays with mum in front of the TV. We've watched a Korean drama for three days... Oh, I must say a one-hundred-and-fifty-eight-episodes Korean drama.

It's Pink Lipstick. oh so girly name The one in Indosiar channel currently LOL. Mum had bought the DVD long time ago~ It's about a woman, a perfect housewife typical ones, which was betrayed by her husband and bestfriend, and even she didn't realized that her daughter that she adopted six years ago was their love child. Hurr hurr the story becomes moreeee sorrowful, her dad's company was crashed, then he died, their house was auctioned, and some loads of awful things that only existed on soap operas happened. Maybe some of you think that the storyline resembles "49 Days"

Except that the betrayed woman became so pissed off and vowed that she'll take a revenge. She changed to a fierce and cold hearted woman, became so villain-like, and she even flirt an old man *grampa?*, the owner of a famous fashion company to get rid of the antagonists. Tsk. The rest of the story involves some shattered wine bottles, double-agents, lots of voice recorder, and loads of crying scene.

The one that catches my eyes: This is the first time I saw a drama that the main role bullied the antagonists.

Moral of the story: Never, ever underestimate an enraged woman.
